Bismarck/Muffy

Happy Tuesday!  Mo's Digital Pencil is having a "In the Doghouse" Challenge this week.  I love, love, love Mo's image "Bismarck". He looks a lot like my little dog, Muffy!

 I made this  card using some free digital paper from PaperCraft Inspirations and a sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge. His scarf is paper pieced and I put some Fun Flock on his hat to make it look furry. He's colored with Copics. I think this would be a cute card for Muffy to send my parents for Christmas.  I hope that you like it.

Beach/Summer

Hi Everyone! I finally got a card finished this week.  My Dr. says I have tendonitis in my right index finger so doing just about everything is awkward and slow going.   Oh well..I'm hoping the meds clear it up before long. I colored this image with Prismas and used "Scattered Straw" Stickles for the sand. I really think it works great for beach sand.  The paper edges and border are inked with "Brushed Corduroy" Distress ink.  The image is an Inkadinkado stamp that I've had for a while. Next time I use it I'll make a larger card. It's really almost too big for this 4x6 size.

Summer Fun

Happy Tuesday!  It is soooo hot here so I've been staying inside in the AC playing in my craft room.  I made this card for the House Mouse
"Summer Holidays and Summertime Fun" Challenge.    The image is called "Bunny Cruise" and is one of my HM favorites. I colored him with Prisma pencils and added Glossy Accents to his lemonade. I love the summery colors in this paper pad from Me & My Big Ideas. 
The sun was cut from Doodlecharms with a Peachy Keen face stamp and chalk added.  I cut the waves with Make the Cut and  added Diamond Stickles. I noticed in the picture that the waves had buckled a little. I'll fix that after they've dried.  I had this little ducky button from WalMart and glued him over the duck on the stamp.  Thanks for looking.

Dancing and Singing

Happy Monday!
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is called "Dancing and Singing". I used "Mummu Dancing" from Mo's Digital Stamps to make this for my craft room.  I colored her with Copics and printed her out with this inspirational quote (love it !)  from Lois Heady. I cut the rectangles from the DP with my Cricut to make the mats and added the punched flowers and leaves in the corner. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Strawberries and Cream

This week's Papertake Weekly Challenge is "Strawberries and Cream".  I've had this stamp called "Tilda with Strawberries" for a while now but had never used her. She was fun to color, but I messed up her little striped Ugg booties so added the fence and grass to hide them. I made some strawberry "buttons" with my Cricut using the strawberry from Simply Charmed (p. 47) cut @ 1 1/2 in. I cut 3 from cardboard and 1 from the dotted paper, glued them together and added some Mod Podge. I cut button holes in three of the 4 that I made and left one without holes.  I wasn't happy with the ones with the holes so I used this one on the ribbon. It didn't really end up looking like I had it pictured in my mind, but I hope you like it.  

Cool Birthday

Today is another hot day so I've stayed inside crafting.   I made this card for the House Mouse "Let's Get Fruity" Challenge.  This image is really big so I made the card 6x6.  I love the bright summer colors in this paper pad from K&Company called "Berry Sweet". The pad of double-sided papers from Ross was only $4.99! He's colored with Prisma pencils with Glossy Accents on the glass, Stickles on the lemon slice, and some rain dot bubbles added to make his drink fizzy.  The bee is from a set of stickers I got from Walmart for $1. Hello Baby

This precious Phindy's Place image is called "Cheery Chat " and is available here.   I colored her with Prisma pencils, popped and shined up her phone with Glossy Accents, and added  a wee bow to her hair. The sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michael's.  I'll submit this one for the "Inspired by a Song" Challenge at Phindy's Place. As I looked through my images I thought of The Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace".
