Humorous Challenge

Happy Wednesday! I'm still working on cards for Catch the Bug's Holiday Chaos Challenge. Today the challenge is to make a humorous card. This image is called CandyCane Critters-cow and is perfect for a funny card.  Look at that expression! She's colored with Prismas and I was in such a hurry to get the photo before it got too dark that I forgot to use the mineral spirits to blend the colors. I cropped off the side of the sentiment, too. It gets dark too early!!!!!!

Recipe Challenge

Hi!  I thought I was all done with my Christmas cards and then Catch the Bug  started their Holiday Chaos Challenge. Fun! This is Day 4 and it is a recipe challenge: 1 image, 2 of something, 3 of something else.

The image is AKV Winter-Sled + 2 googly eyes + 3 snowflakes.
I saw some cards posted at Catch the Bug with googly eyes and thought they looked so cute. She's colored with Prismas . I got a little heavy handed with the pink on her face. Poor baby looks chapped, but she's having fun. The snowflakes are Cuttlebug cut from a foam sheet. I love using foam for snowflakes. They cut beautifully, are thick,  and have an adhesive backing so they're really easy to stick down.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Holiday Chaos

Hi! Hope you are having a good weekend.

Catch the Bug is having a challenge called Holiday Chaos. It's 7 days of challenges with lots and lots of prizes. The theme for Day 1 is "Sparkle and Shine".  I used JJ Christmas Cheer-Deck the Halls.
Nobody can rock the granny glasses like JJ. I'd love to have all of the JJ stamps!

She's colored with Prisma pencils and has glitter on her shoes and top, Rain Dots for the holly,  silver heat embossed barrettes, Glossy Accents on her lips, glasses, and the candy cane die cut. A sparkly snowflake, shiny ribbon, gems in the corner (one is crooked in pic, but fixed now) , and glitter paper makes this one sparkly and shiny. I think I got carried away!! lol

The sketch is from the challenge at Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Love to Scrap!

 December is finally here!

Besides Christmas I am also excited to be a new  DT member for the Love to Scrap! Challenges.

The rules are simple: Follow the theme, make something handmade with stamping, no back linking before the challenge date, 3 entries allowed per challenge, and you must link back and mention Love to Scrap. Simple!

The current challenge is called Shape Shift! Your project must be a shaped card.

I made an easel card using Eleanor and Pickles Lighting Fun  from Lacy Sunshine. Isn't she cute? and I love that frog! She's colored with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to her glasses, but it doesn't show in the photo. The pearls were white, but I read that they could be colored with Copics, too and it works! The tree and image border have Stickles added and I used a Wink of Stella pen on the light bulbs.  The snow on the fence is Snow Writer.

I hope that you'll check out the challenge at Love to Scrap!  and play along with us!
Have a great day! :)

Favorite Colors

It's a cool and rainy Monday.  Perfect cardmaking weather!

I just got this sweet little image from All Dressed Up . I didn't see this exact stamp there today, but there are others that are just as cute. There are  lots of  freebies on their blog here, too. I'll enter this one in their Favourite Colours Challenge. I love the combo of aqua, pink, and red.  I have two paper pads that have those colors: Eskimo Kisses (Basic Grey) and the one I used here Merry Little Christmas (My Mind's Eye).
She's colored with Copics and her hat has a red Rain Dot for the nose. The street lamp has Snow Writer for the snow, but mine is about dried up so it was hard to work with. You can't see the acetate for the glass on it, but in real life it looks better. The snowflake has Crystal Stickles and a clear button in the center. The bow has a clear snowflake. No Glossy Accents, I can't believe it. :)

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Fleece Navidad

Hello and thanks for stopping. I love the "Ewe" stamps at Bugaboo. This one is called Merry Christmas to You available here.  I would love to have all of them! He's super easy to color and comes with his own sentiment, but this one is computer generated. His eyes have Glossy Accents and his Santa hat has Fun Flock on the fur. The snowflakes were made with MS punches. The clear, sparkly buttons came from WalMart. I like the look of them in the center of the snowflakes.

I'll enter it in the Stella Says Sketch Challenge and Bugaboo Bingo Challenge, (Make your own embellie, Bugaboo image, twine)

I hope you like it. Have a great day!

Christmas Party Betty

Happy Sunday! Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Starting with the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the colors from Brown Sugar Challenge Blog  I made this Christmas card.  This is Martini Betty from Simply Betty Stamps.   I couldn't find the exact stamp there anymore, but Martini Melissa looks very similar. She's so fun to color with her gorgeous hair and big eyes.  She's got on her pearl earrings and has nice shiny lips thanks to Glossy Accents.

Thanks for stopping by! xxx

Santa's Reindeer

Happy Thursday!

Here's my second Christmas card for this year. The image is called Santa's Reindeer from Di's Digital Designs.

I used Stickles on the snow swirls and snowflakes. I see that the paper has buckled, so I'll have to fix that.
The falling snow has Stickles and looks like glitter in RL, but doesn't show up like that in the picture.
Santa's boots and Rudoph's nose has Glossy Accents that didn't show up either :(
His suit and hat have Fun Flock on the fur. I like the card much better than the photo!

Thanks for looking! Have a great day. xx

Gingerbread Girl

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

Last year I waited too late getting started on Christmas cards, so I'm trying to get going earlier this time.
Bugaboo stamps has the cutest gingerbread digis. This one is called Girl Gingerbread-Candy Cane available here. I used this sketch
from the Stella Says Sketch Challenge for my card.  Lots of fun coloring her with Copics, paper piecing her dress and bow,  adding Glossy Accents to the candy cane, and making frosting with Liquid Applique.

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Snowbaby Christmas

Happy Monday! I just finished this card for the " Anything Goes w/ Mo Image Challenge"  at Mo's Digital Pencil.   I used "Kai in the Snow" and colored him with Copics. The snow is Polar White Flower Soft. Michael's had a  Recollections " All Seasons" 6x6 paper pad for $3.49 last week.   60 sheets of really cute paper for each month of the year. I used 3 sheets of the January paper for this card. The icicles are a MS punch with "Icicle" Stickles added.  The snowflakes are a Cuttlebug die cut from white foam.  I'm not sure I like the sentiment color now that I see it in the photo.  I may have to change that.  Thanks for looking...have a great day!

Challenges:
Mo's DP2-Anything Goes w/ Mo
Christmas Stampin'- A Pair of 3 (3 papers, 3 snowflakes, 3 pearls)

Bismarck/Muffy

Happy Tuesday!  Mo's Digital Pencil is having a "In the Doghouse" Challenge this week.  I love, love, love Mo's image "Bismarck". He looks a lot like my little dog, Muffy!

Muffy

I made this  card using some free digital paper from PaperCraft Inspirations and a sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge. His scarf is paper pieced and I put some Fun Flock on his hat to make it look furry. He's colored with Copics. I think this would be a cute card for Muffy to send my parents for Christmas.  I hope that you like it.
