Hang in There

Happy Monday! Only 10 more days until Christmas! Maybe you're feeling like this little fella. lol

There's a new challenge at Love to Scrap called "When Nature Calls." (Feature something on your project that's found in nature-living or inanimate). The sponsor is Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet with a $10 gift certificate prize to the lucky winner!

I chose this image called Hang in There from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet. Isn't he precious? The sentiment comes with the image. Bonus!

I colored him with Copics (W1,3,5,7, R01) and added a black pearl to his nose.
I dusted off Stretch your Imagination and Doodlecharms to cut the tree and leaves with my Cricut. The butterfly is a punch. The paper is from Paper Studio's Little Safari paper pack that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Humorous Challenge

Happy Wednesday! I'm still working on cards for Catch the Bug's Holiday Chaos Challenge. Today the challenge is to make a humorous card. This image is called CandyCane Critters-cow and is perfect for a funny card.  Look at that expression! She's colored with Prismas and I was in such a hurry to get the photo before it got too dark that I forgot to use the mineral spirits to blend the colors. I cropped off the side of the sentiment, too. It gets dark too early!!!!!!

Recipe Challenge

Hi!  I thought I was all done with my Christmas cards and then Catch the Bug  started their Holiday Chaos Challenge. Fun! This is Day 4 and it is a recipe challenge: 1 image, 2 of something, 3 of something else.

The image is AKV Winter-Sled + 2 googly eyes + 3 snowflakes.
I saw some cards posted at Catch the Bug with googly eyes and thought they looked so cute. She's colored with Prismas . I got a little heavy handed with the pink on her face. Poor baby looks chapped, but she's having fun. The snowflakes are Cuttlebug cut from a foam sheet. I love using foam for snowflakes. They cut beautifully, are thick,  and have an adhesive backing so they're really easy to stick down.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Holiday Chaos

Hi! Hope you are having a good weekend.

Catch the Bug is having a challenge called Holiday Chaos. It's 7 days of challenges with lots and lots of prizes. The theme for Day 1 is "Sparkle and Shine".  I used JJ Christmas Cheer-Deck the Halls.
Nobody can rock the granny glasses like JJ. I'd love to have all of the JJ stamps!

She's colored with Prisma pencils and has glitter on her shoes and top, Rain Dots for the holly,  silver heat embossed barrettes, Glossy Accents on her lips, glasses, and the candy cane die cut. A sparkly snowflake, shiny ribbon, gems in the corner (one is crooked in pic, but fixed now) , and glitter paper makes this one sparkly and shiny. I think I got carried away!! lol

The sketch is from the challenge at Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Polar Bear Hat

Happy Friday!  Christmas is only 3 weeks away.!

I finally finished this little polar bear hat. I made all the pieces last winter, but couldn't make myself put it all together until this week. I made it using a free pattern from Repeat Crafter Me. She has tons of free crochet patterns on her site. Great directions and tutorials, too.

Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!!

Love to Scrap!

 December is finally here!

Besides Christmas I am also excited to be a new  DT member for the Love to Scrap! Challenges.

The rules are simple: Follow the theme, make something handmade with stamping, no back linking before the challenge date, 3 entries allowed per challenge, and you must link back and mention Love to Scrap. Simple!

The current challenge is called Shape Shift! Your project must be a shaped card.

I made an easel card using Eleanor and Pickles Lighting Fun  from Lacy Sunshine. Isn't she cute? and I love that frog! She's colored with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to her glasses, but it doesn't show in the photo. The pearls were white, but I read that they could be colored with Copics, too and it works! The tree and image border have Stickles added and I used a Wink of Stella pen on the light bulbs.  The snow on the fence is Snow Writer.

I hope that you'll check out the challenge at Love to Scrap!  and play along with us!
Have a great day! :)
